Virgin TV customers are getting an early festive treat this year: a full month of free 4K content, with no add-ons, no hidden charges, and no complicated sign-ups.
Throughout December, channels 175 and 999 will switch to UHD, offering a steady stream of films and documentaries in pin-sharp detail.
The temporary “UHD open window” runs from December 1 to January 2, and it’s available to Stream, TV360 and V6 customers. Virgin is pitching it as a chance for families to settle in, unwind, and enjoy big-screen favourites together – just without the rental fees.
The afternoon slots are dedicated to family films, with titles like Hook, Antz, The Prince of Egypt, Smurfs: The Lost Village, Vivo, and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, which lands on Christmas Eve at 6:05pm.
Evenings switch gears starting at 8pm with factual programming, including Billy and Dom Eat the World, Fantastic Friends seasons 1 and 2, Go Gently, and festive specials like The Nature of Christmas.

Prime time at 9pm leans into classic favourites, including Hitch, Jerry Maguire, As Good As It Gets, Julie & Julia, Robin Hood, and Hacksaw Ridge, the latter joining Spider-Verse for a Christmas Eve showing.
Virgin is also running Great! Christmas (Channel 424) through 6 January, offering one of the biggest collections of seasonal films on its platform to round out the holidays.
“For so many of our customers this time of the year is all about coming together and spending quality time with loved ones. So, Virgin TV is gifting them the opportunity to unwind and watch their favourite films and shows together in UHD, at no extra cost this festive season,” said David Bouchier, Chief TV and Entertainment Officer at Virgin Media O2.
It’s a simple but welcome upgrade for anyone staying in over the holidays, and a rare chance to enjoy a month of Ultra HD programming without paying more for it.
