Ulefone announced the very first RugKing smartphone not long ago, its budget rugged device. Well, now Ulefone has decided to test the durability of that RugKing handset by submitting it to a number of torture tests.
The Ulefone RugKing faces an electric drill, nails, and drops in a series of durability tests
The company, as per usual, filmed the entire process to show us. There are two new videos, actually. The first one is titled ‘Ulefone RugKing Scratch Test: Affordable Yet Rugged!’, and it’s embedded below.
In that video, you’ll see the company use the RugKing’s display as a hammer to break some walnut shells. In addition to that, the phone’s display was also used as a hammer to force some nails into a piece of wood.
If that’s not enough for you, you can also see the phone’s display face an electric drill. To wrap things up, Ulefone decided to wash the phone with what seems to be a pressure washer of some sort.
Various drops couldn’t hurt the phone, the same goes for water and gravel
The second video, which is embedded below this paragraph, shows the phone being thrown from some sort of bridge onto grass, and it ultimately ended on concrete. That’s some serious height right there.
Following that, Ulefone threw it into a rather deep puddle and then threw it at a tree as well. The RugKing slid over a big rock and then took a dive into some sand mixed with gravel. The device was able to survive all that without a problem.
Once again, this is a budget phone, which makes all of this even more impressive. The phone is fueled by the Unisoc T7255 processor, an octa-core chip. It also includes 8GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, and a 5.99-inch display. A 50-megapixel camera sits on the back, along with a 2-megapixel macro camera.
