If your front door still relies on a basic bell — or, worse, a knock — today’s the day to add some much-needed smarts to your home. Ring makes some of the most popular video doorbells on the planet, and right now Amazon is offering a huge 50% off one of its most affordable options.. The Ring Battery Doorbell would normally sell for $100, but if you order today you’ll pay just $50 instead. The deal expires in a matter of hours, so you don’t have long left to nab it.
The Ring Battery Doorbell is down to $50 in both silver and bronze color options which is a return to the record-low price we saw during this year’s Prime Day sales. Silver is the classic Ring doorbell color, while the bronze adds a little personality to your porch.

While this base-level Ring doorbell doesn’t quite compete with the upgraded Plus or Pro version in terms of specs, CNET’s resident smart home expert Tyler Lacoma called it a “very competent” option in his list of the best Ring video doorbells, thanks to its HD video and competitive field of view. Affordability is also a huge point in its favor — especially today — and head-to-toe video, two-way talk, motion alerts and package detection round out the feature set (some requiring a Ring Protect plan).

Why this deal matters
Ring cameras go on sale periodically throughout the year, but today’s prices match Prime Day levels, which is rare outside of those major shopping events. As well as a low price, the battery-powered doorbell offers a no-fuss installation and solid set of features for most users.
