Prime Video typically kicks off each new month by adding a sizeable wave of new movies and shows, and November 2025 has been no different. Last Saturday (Nov. 1), more than 50 new shows and movies arrived on the streaming service, which is very welcome, but also very overwhelming.

In fact, Prime Video just one-upped Netflix, which “only” added 43 movies and shows on the same date. With so many new options to watch on Prime Video, I’ve combed through the complete list to pick out the five gems that you’ll want to get watching as soon as possible. I’m not suggesting these are the only five among the 53 total additions that deserve your attention, but if you’re looking for a starting point, these picks are all watchlist-worthy.

This major content drop is just the start of the platform’s plans for the month, so be sure to see our guide to everything new on Prime Video in November 2025 for a complete overview.

    ‘A Beautiful Mind’ (2001)

    🎬 A Beautiful Mind – Trailer – YouTube

    Watch On

A biographical drama directed by Ron Howard and starring Russell Crowe as the Nobel Prize in Economics recipient John Nash might sound like Oscar-bait on paper, but you’d be a fool to dismiss “A Beautiful Mind” so easily. It did win four Oscars (including Best Picture, Director, Adapted Screenplay and Supporting Actress), but it’s no sleepy drama. There’s more to this biopic than meets the eye, as it explores Nash’s genius mind that is also deeply troubled. Alongside Crowe, it stars Ed Harris, Jennifer Connelly and Paul Bettany.

Chronicling mathematician John Nash’s life, “A Beautiful Mind” opens with him arriving at Princeton University in the 1940s, where he meets his roommate and soon-to-be close friend Charles Herman (Bettany). Quickly proving his intellect, he is eventually brought to the Pentagon to help decipher coded communications. But behind the scenes, he’s battling deep inner turmoil and a cruel disorder. There’s more to this award-worthy movie than you might expect, so be sure to watch with an open mind.

    ‘Bones and All’ (2022)

BONES AND ALL | Official Trailer | MGM Studios – YouTube

    Watch On

If you thought director Luca Guadagnino turning the world of professional tennis into a battleground for a steamy love triangle was impressive, wait until you see “Bones and All.” Centered on a doomed relationship between a pair of adolescent cannibals (yes, really), its core conception might be a little difficult to swallow, but this dark horror-thriller is remarkably romantic despite its grisly subject matter. It also packs one of Timothée Chalamet’s most overlooked performances, with Taylor Russell and Mark Rylance capable of matching “The Dune” stars’ strong work.

Based on the novel of the same name by Camille DeAngelis, “Bones and All” sees a troubled teenager, Maren Yearly (Russell), abandoned by her father on her 18th birthday due to her uncontrollable urge for human flesh. Setting out on a cross-country road trip to find her estranged mother, she meets a drifter with the same hunger (Chalamet), and the two slowly fall in love. All the while, they are stalked by an “eater” obsessed with Maren (Rylance).

    ‘Good Will Hunting’ (1998)

Good Will Hunting (1997) Blu-Ray Release Movie Trailer – YouTube

    Watch On

Somebody only has to mention “Good Will Hunting” in passing, and I’m off to rewatch the iconic bar scene all over again. This Oscar-winning drama, written by Ben Affleck and Matt Damon, turned the two into overnight stars and introduced the world to a bromance still going strong to this day. It also packs one of Robin Williams’ most emotionally impactful performances, and was one of the most critically acclaimed movies of the 1990s.

Will Hunting (Damon) is working as a janitor at MIT after serving a stint in prison. A self-taught maths whiz, he struggles to get his life on the right track and is soon once again brushing with the law following a bar brawl. Ordered to complete several therapeutic sessions to avoid more jail time, he meets Dr. Sean Maguire (Williams), and while he’s at first hostile to the psychologist, he eventually starts to open up about his past trauma.

    ‘King & Conqueror’ (2024)

    King & Conqueror – Series 1 | Trailer – BBC – YouTube

    Watch On

The battle to be the next “Game of Thrones” still burns brightly, and there’s little doubt this eight-part BBC historical drama was hoping to pull in viewers of HBO’s fantasy epic. Not only does it feature Jamie Lannister himself, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau as William, Duke of Normandy, but he’s paired against “House of Guinness” star James Norton, who plays Harold Godwinson. Scholars will take issue with the many liberties taken with real historical events, but if you’re just here for the drama, you’ll find plenty to chew over.

Before the Battle of Hastings in 1066 (a mainstay of education in British schools to this day), William of Normandy (Coster-Waldau) and Harold of Wessex (Norton) were allies, and even friends, but as a conflict for the England crown brews on the horizon, due to the current King Edward (Eddie Marsan) having no heirs, William and Harold are driven apart as both seek to rule. For those looking for a relatively quick binge-watch, you might be pleased to hear that “King & Conqueror” is a limited series that tells a complete story, and as of today, there appear to be no plans for season 2.

    ‘Rear Window’ (1954)

Rear Window Official Trailer #1 – James Stewart, Grace Kelly Movie (1954) HD – YouTube

    Watch On

Alfred Hitchcock is one of the most celebrated and influential directors in the history of cinema, and while trying to pick the “best Hitchcock movie” is a fool’s errand, “Rear Window” is pretty universally considered among his strongest works. For more than 70 years, it’s been gripping viewers, and in the decades since its release, none of its tension, atmosphere, and drama have been lost. It remains every bit a marvel, a true masterpiece of a movie.

Starring James Stewart and Grace Kelly, it sees a photojournalist confined to his stuffy apartment after breaking his leg. To pass the time, he watches out of his apartment window, but soon becomes convinced that his neighbor has committed an act of murder. Playing on the fact that you never can tell what goes on behind closed curtains, “Rear Window” is a mystery thriller packed to the brim with suspense and intrigue. There’s a very good reason that it’s regularly cited as one of the best movies ever made.
