Another weekend is here, which means the question of what to watch across the best streaming services is fresh on everyone’s minds. Well, it’s on my mind, at least. And with Netflix adding a whopping 43 new shows and movies to its catalogue this month, decision paralysis has its claws in me once again.

Sure, you could head to the Netflix top 10 to cut through the noise, but not every one is guaranteed to be a winner. Just look at Dolph Lundgren’s “Wanted Man” at number 8 with a whopping 7% on Rotten Tomatoes. To help you separate the gems from the overhyped duds, I’m here every weekend shouting out the Netflix top 10 movies that are actually worth your time.

This week, that includes Guillermo Del Toro’s adaptation of an iconic gothic horror, the earworm-filled animated adventure from the team behind the “Spider-Verse” films, and one of the best comedies of all time.

Not feeling any of these picks? For even more streaming recommendations, be sure to check out our guide to everything new on Netflix this month. So, without further ado, let’s dive into the three must-watch movies in Netflix’s top 10.

This article is based on Netflix’s top 10 movies list in the U.S. as of 12:00 p.m. ET on Saturday, November 15.

Best movies in the Netflix top 10

    ‘Frankenstein’ (2025)

Frankenstein | Guillermo del Toro | Official Trailer | Netflix – YouTube

    Watch On

I’m happy to see Guillermo del Toro’s fantastically weird and heart-wrenching “Frankenstein” adaptation is staying strong in the Netflix top 10, as it’s one of my favorite films of the year so far. Few pairings feel as natural as Mary Shelley’s gothic classic and an Oscar-winning filmmaker with such an eye for tragic beauty and magical realism. Not to mention Jacob Elordi’s haunting performance as the creature is devastating in the best ways.

The story is one you no doubt already know: Victor Frankenstein (Oscar Isaac), a brilliant but arrogant scientist obsessed with creating life, only to recoil in horror when his ungodly experiment succeeds. Creator and creation become locked in a relentless chase to destroy each other, and under del Toro’s direction, this iconic story becomes a darkly romantic epic that’s impossible to forget.

    ‘The Hangover’ (2018)

The Hangover – Trailer – YouTube

    Watch On

My toxic trait is that I unironically love “The Hangover” movies, even if the sequels never quite stacked up to the original. Now that the first movie has stayed strong in the Netflix top 10 for the second week in a row, it’s the perfect excuse to shout out one of my all-time favorite comedies.

From “Joker” director Todd Phillips, “The Hangover” centers on a Las Vegas bachelor party that goes off the rails. When three groomsmen wake up with zero memory of the night before and a missing groom (Justin Bartha), they must piece together what debauchery they got up to for any hope of finding him before the wedding. For all the misery poor Doug is put through, the hijinks of his friends, straight-laced Stu (Ed Helms) and swaggering Phil (Bradley Cooper), and his eccentric and unhinged future brother-in-law Alan (Zach Galifianakis) are still hilarious enough to merit a rewatch. Just don’t blame me if that tiger song (which Helms improvised, I might add!) gets stuck in your head.

    ‘K-Pop Demon Hunters’ (2025)

KPop Demon Hunters | Official Trailer | Sony Animation – YouTube

    Watch On

Surprise surprise, Netflix’s biggest streaming hit of all time, “K-Pop Demon Hunters,” is still in the top 10, though it’s slipped down to the #6 spot, the lowest I’ve seen it since its release in June. Which means you can imagine me as that Bernie Sanders meme, as I am once again asking for you to give this gem a watch if you haven’t yet. Yes, even if you don’t listen to K-pop (neither do I, to be honest with you).

Even if you’ve already joined team Huntrix or Saja Boys, this bubblegum-pop adventure from Sony Pictures Animation, the same team behind the “Spider-Verse” films, is worth revisiting just to catch all the tiny details you missed the first time. It follows Rumi (Arden Cho), Mira (May Hong), and Zoey (Ji-young Yoo) — the latest in a long line of K-pop stars who shield the world from supernatural evils with their music. Their biggest challenge yet comes when a group of demons disguised as a rival boy band start climbing the charts, but they’ll need to tackle their own inner demons to win the day.
