Halloween is nearly upon us and you know what that means—the holiday shopping season is right around the corner! Lots of retailers are getting into the spirit already with early Black Friday deals, and since I cover laptops here at Tom’s Guide I’ve already spotted some surprisingly good discounts popping up across the web.
The best one I’ve found so far is definitely this Razer Blade 14 for $1,999 at Razer.com. (Click the on-page digital coupon below the price to get this deal). That’s $700 off and a great value for the price, thanks to the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 GPU onboard and the gorgeous QHD+ 120Hz OLED display.
I know because this deal is on basically the exact same model we tested for our Razer Blade 14 review, and we gave it 4/5 stars and recommended it because it’s fairly thin and light (for a gaming laptop) yet packs enough muscle to play the best PC games at good to great framerates.
That’s why we rank it as one of the best gaming laptops we’ve tested this year—Razer’s Blade 14 is an attractive, capable gaming laptop that looks good in a coffee shop and comes with a full port array (including HDMI out, USB-A, USB-C, and a microSD card reader) so you can get work done between gaming sessions.
And thanks to the aforementioned Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 laptop GPU, the AMD Ryzen AI 9 365 and the 32GB of RAM in this model, you can count on pretty speedy performance whether you’re crunching video or blasting other players in Battlefield 6.
But if the price is still a tad steep, good news: Razer is offering a discount across the Blade 14 lineup as part of its early Black Friday discounts, and you can actually get one for even cheaper if you’re willing to go with the weaker RTX 5060 GPU and halve the RAM to 16GB.
This model won’t be as capable as the one I suggested above, but it’s also cheaper and still a decent entry-level gaming laptop with a gorgeous OLED screen if you’re looking to save some cash.
Regrettably, our battery testing suggests you shouldn’t expect to get more than about five hours while working and maybe 2 hours while gaming on battery with the Razer Blade 14. But that’s not unusual; poor battery life is par for the course with most gaming laptops. Our reviewer managed to use his Razer Blade 14 for a full eight-hour workday without plugging in, but your mileage will vary.
That said, it’s a great gaming laptop normally and a steal at this price. I doubt you’ll see this laptop this cheap again even on Black Friday, so I’d snag one now if you’re interested!
