IBM offers this AI introductory course on the edX MOOC platform. This self-paced course can be completed in four weeks and is tailored for beginners without a programming or computer science background.

The topics cover the technical aspects of neural networks and deep learning, AI ethics, bias, jobs, and societal impact.

Explore chatbots, including how they benefit users and businesses.

IBM provides this free AI course on the edX platform. The modules offer a practical introduction to chatbot creation, utilizing the free tier of Watson Assistant as the backend. The codeless approach is ideal for beginners learning AI for the first time.

As with the other free edX AI course mentioned earlier, you can audit it for free, but graded assignments and a completion certificate will incur additional costs.

33 intermediate lessons that introduce you to AI.

    What We Like

    • Taught by renowned industry professionals.

    • Covers Machine Learning, Probabilistic Reasoning, Robotics and Natural Language Processing.

Renowned computer scientist Peter Norvig is among the instructors for this fundamental AI course offered by Stanford University via Udacity. Though prior AI experience isn’t necessary, this is an intermediate-level course.

With over 30 lessons covering topics like game theory, computer vision, and robotics, the short videos for each topic mean you can complete the AI class in one sitting.

Apply prompt engineering and patterns to build powerful LLM-based applications.

    What We Like

    • The course is the first part of Vanderbilt University’s Prompt Engineering Specialization.

    • Takes a deep dive into prompt engineering with techniques like Few-shot prompting, ReAct prompting etc.

Utilize this 16-hour self-paced AI class to enhance your prompt engineering skills. The examples will guide you in working with LLMs like ChatGPT and creating effective prompts for personal and professional use.

The course’s six modules are comprehensive and include hands-on assignments. Like all Coursera courses, you can take it for free, but additional perks such as a shareable completion certificate, graded assignments, and feedback require payment.

An overview of generative AI concepts.

    What We Like

    • Courses are short and ideal for micro-learners.

    • Learn how Google is implementing AI in its products.

    • Complete the modules and earn badges.

    What We Don’t Like

    • As an introductory course, it doesn’t offer hands-on practice exercises.

    • With it’s focus on Google, other AI developments are not covered.

A free AI course from the search engine giant is a great choice. This introductory microlearning course doesn’t require a technical background and can help you learn about generative AI.

The learning path starts with an introduction to Google’s seven AI principles and concludes with practicing responsible AI in Google Cloud’s products.

Covers content creation, major models, trends, and tools such as Copilot.

Offered by Microsoft on LinkedIn, this six-hour primer provides a broad overview of the AI landscape and core concepts of generative AI.

The LinkedIn learning path combines six different courses culminating in a quiz. You don’t need a LinkedIn account or LinkedIn Learning subscription to take this course.

Learn safeguards and core and advanced prompt engineering techniques.

    What We Like

    • The variety of free courses offered on Amazon Educate and AWS Skill Builder.

    • The skill upgrades can help you tap into the AWS Educate Job Board or the AWS Emerging Talent Community.

    • Courses are always updated.

Amazon offers eight free AI courses for a wide range of users, from those with non-technical backgrounds to decision-makers in management. Explore courses like Introduction to Generative Artificial Intelligence on AWS Educate or Foundations of Prompt Engineering on AWS Skill Builder.

These courses are part of Amazon’s “AI Ready” initiative, which aims to provide free AI skills training to 2 million people globally. Most courses utilize Amazon tools like AWS Cloud, AWS Console, and Amazon CodeWhisperer.

Learn prompt engineering, build custom LLM apps, and practice with the OpenAI API.

Expect high-quality teaching as Isa Fulford leads this AI tutorial from OpenAI, alongside Andrew Ng from DeepLearning.AI. They guide you through two critical principles for writing effective prompts and how to design and use solid prompts to build a custom chatbot.

This is an essential step in your AI learning journey. Tapping into large language models (LLMs) with engineered prompts is fundamental for building applications.

Learn ML basics, key algorithms, cross-validation, regularization, and recommendations.

To delve deeper into technical AI, it’s important to understand machine learning. This Harvard course on the edX platform covers popular machine learning algorithms and teaches you how to build a movie recommendation system.

This self-paced course takes eight weeks to complete. Like most edX courses, you can audit it for free but won’t have access to course materials, assignments, or the completion certificate without payment.
