Amazon has released its annual list of the UK’s most asked Alexa questions, outlining the entertainment trends, celebrity curiosities and general knowledge queries that dominated voice requests across 2025.

The data offers a snapshot of what captured national attention, from chart-topping soundtracks to frequently Googled facts now spoken aloud through Alexa.

Alexa continued to play a central role in music listening habits throughout 2025, with Taylor Swift once again finishing as the most-played artist in the UK.

The soundtrack to KPop Demon Hunters became one of the year’s most notable breakouts, topping Alexa’s most played albums list and generating repeat requests for tracks like “Golden” and “Soda Pop.” Among songs, “APT” by Rosé & Bruno Mars took the top spot, followed closely by “Golden” by HUNTR/X and “Pink Pony Club” by Chappell Roan.

Celebrity-related questions formed a major portion of Alexa usage, ranging from basic biographical details to trending cultural moments. Common queries included “How tall is Sabrina Carpenter?”, “What is Elon Musk’s net worth?” and “Who is Ed Sheeran married to?”

Across all categories, Cristiano Ronaldo, Taylor Swift and Elon Musk were the most asked-about individuals, with Tom Cruise leading height-related questions and Musk topping the net-worth category.

Podcast listening also reflected long-running preferences: The Archers, The Rest is Politics, MrBallen Podcast and The Rest is History remained among the most requested shows, reinforcing the UK’s appetite for news commentary, true crime and long-form storytelling.

Everyday questions: sports, quick facts and practical answers

Alexa continued to serve as a hands-free reference tool for day-to-day knowledge, with users frequently asking for definitions, measurements and instructions. Some of the most repeated questions included “What does AI mean?”, “What’s the diameter of Earth?”, “How long do I poach an egg for?”, “What’s the UK minimum wage?” and “How many moons does Jupiter have?”.
Finance-related queries also appeared, including stock checks such as “What’s the share price of Marks and Spencer?”

Sport generated its own high-traffic category. Football was the most asked-about sport overall, followed by Formula 1, rugby, cricket and golf. When users looked up individual athletes, Cristiano Ronaldo again topped the list, ahead of Lionel Messi, David Beckham, John Cena and Ricky Hatton.

Amazon says the patterns across entertainment, celebrity searches and day-to-day queries offer a snapshot of the UK’s shifting interests, showing how Alexa has become woven into both cultural moments and everyday routines.
