Tech isn’t the only thing that’s getting a price cut, thanks to Black Friday deals. With grocery prices on the rise, many shoppers are finding themselves stretching their budget to the limit. Buying in bulk is a great way to save some cash, but big-box stores like Costco require a membership to shop. However, now you don’t even have to pay full price for a Costco membership with this nice Black Friday deal.

An annual Costco Gold Star membership is usually $65 per year, but if you sign up right now at StackSocial you’ll automatically get $40 back in the form of a digital gift card.* You can also upgrade to a one-year Executive Gold Star membership for $130, which comes with a $60 gift card. These offers are valid through Dec. 21, so be sure to get signed up before then.

Costco is best known for its bulk groceries and home essentials. A membership can also help you save on select tech, furniture and appliances, as well as hot food that costs less than at other grocery chains. This membership offer is valid only at Costco locations in the US and Puerto Rico, and it must be activated online before shopping online or in person.

Hey, did you know? CNET Deals texts are free, easy and save you money.

This Gold Star membership is valid for one year and must be redeemed upon purchase before Jan. 21, 2026. Your gift card will be delivered to your email within two weeks of activating your card.

Upgrading to an Executive Gold Star membership adds a 2% annual reward of up to $1,250 and additional benefits and discounts on select Costco services. Just keep in mind that these offers are only for new customers or previous customers whose membership expired more than 18 months ago.

    Why this deal matters

A Costco membership is a great way to save on household essentials and groceries, especially if you live with your family or multiple people. This deal gives you a $40 digital shop card you can use on future Costco shopping trips to rack up more savings.

    Legal Disclaimer:
*To receive a Digital Costco Shop Card, you must provide a valid email address and set up auto renewal of your Costco membership on a Visa® card at the time of sign-up. Valid only for new members and those whose memberships (Primary and Household) have been expired at least 18 months or more. Valid only for nonmembers for their first year of membership. Not valid for renewal or upgrade of an existing membership. Promotion may not be combined with any other promotion. Digital Costco Shop Card will be emailed to the email address provided by the Primary Member at time of sign-up within 2 weeks after successful sign-up and enrollment in auto renewal. Digital Costco Shop Card is not redeemable for cash, except as required by law. Costco is not liable for incentives not received due to entry of an invalid address during sign-up.
