As expected, Apple’s September event gave us our first look at the highly anticipated iPhone 17 series, along with plenty of details about the new AirPods Pro 3 and the latest Apple Watches. These next-gen models are now officially available to order.Even better, retailers and carriers are already offering substantial launch discounts, which we’ve rounded up below.
The iPhone 16 series and other models are also discounted, as carriers and retailers are eager to sell remaining stock to make room for the new models. That means that there are some excellent deals you can take advantage of right now if you’re looking to grab one of these soon-to-be older models.
If you’re on a tight budget, you can also shop previous-gen models like the iPhone 15. It’s getting a little tough to find them in stock, but they’re usually available for hundreds off. iPhone 17 deals
The brand new iPhone 17 series is now available. The basic iPhone starts at $799, while the iPhone 17 Pro starts at $1,099 and the 17 Pro Max jumps up to $1,199. There’s also the new ultra-thin iPhone Air, which starts at $999.
One of the easiest ways to save on a new iPhone is by trading in your old model. Apple offers up to $700 in trade-in credit, but that’s only in exchange for one of its latest models. Older iPhones, as well as phones from Samsung, Google and other brands are also accepted, but won’t be worth quite as much. You’ll also get 3% cash back when you purchase with an Apple Card.*

T-Mobile customers can get the iPhone 17 free with an eligible trade-in, as long as they’re on an Experience More, Experience Beyond, Go5G Plus or Go5G Next plan. Those on most other plans will get up to $300 in trade-in credit. You can also get this phone free when you switch to T-Mobile and add a line on an Experience More, Beyond or Go5G Next plan. Both a new line and a trade-in also gets you this phone free. These offers will be applied as bill credits over a 24-month period. Cancel before this and you’ll owe any unpaid balance.

There aren’t any special offers at the moment but the tech retailer does have its own trade-in program, which can save save you up to $375 in exchange for your old phone. The latest iPhones will net you the biggest discount, but phones from Samsung, Google and many other brands are also accepted.

When you trade in an eligible device, Apple offers savings on the new iPhone 16E. Trading in an old phone could save you up to $700, which can potentially score you the basic 128GB model free. However, that discount is only available if you’re trading in the iPhone 15 Pro Max, which would be a bit of a downgrade.
For the iPhone 14 series, the most you’ll save is $470, which is still a solid deal for this affordable model. Note that the older your phone is, the less you will potentially receive for a trade-in device. Apple phones also earn more than Samsung or Pixel devices. Plus, it’s pretty easy to get your hands on one of these previous-gen models for less right now, which makes them a good value for Apple users on a budget. Now that the iPhone 17 lineup has been announced, you can no longer buy the iPhone 15 directly from Apple.
