We’re two weeks out from the next season of Fallout, which’ll take us to one New Vegas, the fan-favorite location from the equally fan-favorite game. For some characters, getting there is gonna require some good ol’ Fallout-isms like trekking through the desert and crossing paths with some fellow wastelanders, something Prime Video showed off at Brazil’s CCXP.
During the show’s panel on Friday, attendees got to watch as Lucy McClain (Ella Purnell) and Dogmeat try saving the Ghoul (Walton Goggins) from getting hanged. Instead of blasting her enemies’ heads off, Lucy tries for a pacifist run by coming clean about the duo’s plan to turn Ghoul in, get money for his bounty, then wipe out his jailers, but she just wants her frenemy back and everyone walks away peacefully. Ghoul obviously wants her to start blasting, and the raiders…well, we’ll see how that goes in a few weeks.
Interestingly, this clip takes place in Novac, a stop along HIghway 05 and part of the Mojave Wasteland where Fallout: New Vegas takes place. Eagle-eyed fans noted Lucy’s taking aim in Dinky the T-Rex, a statue near the Dino Dee-lite Motel that’s oft used as a sniper’s nest by anyone having a shootout in the area like old First Recon snipers Manny Vargas and Craig Boone. What that means about how Novac’s evolved since New Vegas is currently up in the air, but like the ending of the game it belongs to, the town may be subject to fluctuating history depending on who talks about it.
Season two of Fallout begins its weekly, eight-episode run on December 17.
