It isn’t always possible to game on the go, but this tiny 8BitDo Micro controller is a big win on that front — and right now Amazon has slashed the price by 47%, meaning you’ll pay just $13 to snag one. That’s the lowest price we’ve seen this handy controller go for and one of the best Nintendo Switch deals happening right now. But this deal could disappear at any time, so be sure to place your order soon if you don’t want to miss out.

This controller is tiny, weighing less than 25 grams, but it has 16 buttons, which makes it versatile and portable. It also supports Bluetooth and wired connections. As for compatibility, this controller works with Switch 3.0.0 and above, Android 9.0 and above and Raspberry Pi, including Raspberry Pi OS, Lakka, RetroPie, Recalbox and Batocera.

It’s built for travel, which is where its compact design excels. But this tiny controller does not support functions such as vibration, motion sensing, NFC scanning, infrared camera or console wake. However, it does come with a wrist strap so it won’t go far if it slips out of your hands and you’ll get up to 12 hours of playtime per charge.

Hey, did you know? CNET Deals texts are free, easy and save you money.

If you’re only looking to use its keyboard mode, it will work with Android, iOS, iPadOS, macOS and Windows. And you can map any button using 8BitDo Ultimate Software on your iOS or Android device in keyboard mode.

    Why this deal matters
