Amazon has released its annual roundup of Alexa’s Most Asked Questions, and if anything, 2025 proves that Brits are as curious, and occasionally chaotic, as ever.
From celebrity trivia to K-pop chart-toppers, the list paints a surprisingly vivid picture of what grabbed the nation’s attention this year.

Celebrity questions once again dominated the charts. Users couldn’t resist asking Alexa about net worths, marriages, and, for reasons that never seem to fade, how tall Tom Cruise actually is, making him the most-queried height of the year. He also topped the list of most-asked actors, edging out Clint Eastwood, Dwayne Johnson, and Pierce Brosnan.

Music trends were equally loud. Taylor Swift held her firm grip as the most played artist on Alexa, while the KPop Demon Hunters soundtrack became the UK’s most streamed album through Amazon Music. “APT” by Rosé & Bruno Mars took the top song spot, with “Golden” by HUNTR/X close behind, cementing K-pop’s hold on British listeners throughout 2025.
Beyond entertainment, Alexa was also the go-to source for everyday facts. Brits frequently asked “What does AI mean?”, “How long do I poach an egg for?” and “What’s the diameter of Earth?” prove that Alexa remains a household fact-checker as much as it is a personal DJ.
Sport also ranked highly across UK queries. Football was the most searched sport, followed by Formula 1 and rugby, with Cristiano Ronaldo leading as the most asked-about athlete. Meanwhile, podcasts had a strong presence, with The Archers, The Rest Is Politics, and MrBallen Podcast among the most-requested shows.
Amazon says the data reflects not just what people are consuming, but how they’re using Alexa to keep up with news, culture, and the odd bit of kitchen advice.
With everything from space trivia to celebrity spouses making the list, Alexa’s 2025 recap ultimately shows one thing: we may be in the age of AI, but our questions haven’t changed all that much, and yes, we’re still trying to figure out Tom Cruise’s height.
