“Fallout” fans, the wait is nearly over! Amazon has now dropped the full “Fallout” season 2 release schedule, and you’ll be able to watch the first episode on Wednesday, December 17, at 3 a.m. ET/12 a.m. PT on Prime Video.

The latest season continues vault-dweller Lucy MacLean’s search for her nefarious father as she teams up with the enigmatic Ghoul, a former actor turned bounty hunter also looking for his long-lost family.

A tantalizing highlight for many “Fallout” aficionados is the promised setting of New Vegas, a familiar and major location in the video game source material. In fact, many proclaim “Fallout: New Vegas” as the best game in the series. Me? I still prefer the minute-to-minute gameplay of “Fallout 4.”

From the trailer, it looks like the series will again dive headlong into the wacky world of “Fallout”, with radscorpions, radroaches, and a Deathclaw (finally!) to contend with. We also saw different factions, including the brutal Caesar’s Legion, everyone’s favourite technobros, the Brotherhood of Steel, and even the Elvis-revering street gang, The Kings. We also caught a brief glimpse of Mr House, CEO of RobCo Industries and current ruler of New Vegas.

There are still so many unanswered questions burning in our minds since the end of season 1. Why did Hank escape to New Vegas? What happened to The Ghoul’s family? Will Norm make it out of Vault 31? Will Maximus help or turn against the Brotherhood of Steel? With “Fallout’s” TV world massively expanding with this new season, we’re waiting with bated breath to discover the answers.

“Fallout” fans flocked to the sci-fi series when it first aired, as it stayed steadfastly loyal to its often brutal yet goofy tone, narrative, and aesthetic.

Moreover, fans loved Ella Purnell’s earnest portrayal of Lucy MacLean, a vault-dweller now forced to brave the outside wasteland to find her dad. Over the course of her adventure, she’s beset by feral ghouls, different factions, unavoidable side quests, and other irradiated beasts, mirroring many people’s experiences as they played the beloved games.

Like its preceding series, “Fallout” season 2 will feature eight episodes, which will drop on Amazon Prime Video. The series starts on December 17, and a new episode will be released every Wednesday until February 4 next year.

    • Episode 1: December 17, 2025, 3 a.m. ET / 12 a.m. PT
    • Episode 2: December 24, 2025, 3 a.m. ET / 12 a.m. PT
    • Episode 3: December 31, 2025, 3 a.m. ET / 12 a.m. PT
    • Episode 4: January 7, 2026, 3 a.m. ET / 12 a.m. PT
    • Episode 5: January 14, 2026, 3 a.m. ET / 12 a.m. PT
    • Episode 6: January 21, 2026, 3 a.m. ET / 12 a.m. PT
    • Episode 7: January 28, 2026, 3 a.m. ET / 12 a.m. PT
    • Episode 8: February 4, 2026, 3 a.m. ET / 12 a.m. PT

The episode schedule is a departure from Amazon’s delivery of “Fallout’s” inaugural season, which all dropped in one go. We’re still in the dark as to what these upcoming episodes will be called, but no doubt Amazon will reveal all as we move closer to the season opener.

So whether you’re itching to watch the episodes the moment they’re released or have the patience to wait until mid-February to binge them in one sitting, you have a little time to work your viewing strategy.

And while you’re waiting for season 2’s first episode to drop, why not catch up on “Fallout” season 1?
