    Byte-Sized Brief

    • Fire TV users can use AI to find movie scenes in seconds.
    • Ask Alexa+ about a scene to jump there instantly.
    • It works with thousands of Prime Video movies.

Have you ever wanted to replay a scene from a movie but weren’t sure exactly where to fast-forward to get there? If you have a Fire TV, you can do just that with the help of AI via Alexa+. Just trigger Alexa from your remote and ask away.

To give it a shot, try something like, “Jump to the Ozdust ballroom scene in Wicked with Glinda,” or “Jump to the boulder chase scene in Raiders of the Lost Ark.” Alexa+ can understand your query by searching through captions, so it also works if you don’t know the movie title.

The company says tens of thousands of scenes have already been indexed from thousands of movies, so there’s a good chance some of your favorite Prime Video movies are supported. Amazon plans to expand the feature to more films and even TV shows soon.

The new AI search feature is limited to Prime Video titles, including not only what’s available as part of your Prime membership, but also purchases and rentals.

    The Bottom Line

Alexa+ on Fire TV lets you pull up specific scenes in Prime Video movies with a simple voice request. Amazon plans to expand support to more films and TV shows soon.
