Lighting can literally make or break your home, and I am a big advocate against “the big light” (any harsh overhead lighting). Instead, I utilize lamps, candles, and other small lights to create a vibe in my home.

One of my favorite ways to add color and moodiness to my lighting setup is through GE Cync bulbs. Unlike some other smart lights on the market, the GE Cync bulbs do not need to be connected to a smart hub to work in your home. I even have a customized schedule set I turn on when I am away from home for a few nights, so the lights still turn on and off in my home (not only for safety reasons but also so my cat doesn’t have to be in the dark).
