    Byte-Sized Brief

    • Android and iPhone users can share files more easily than ever.
    • No app is required. Transfers use AirDrop and Quick Share.
    • For now, this works only on Pixel 10 devices.

There have always been numerous ways to share files between Android and iPhone devices, but Google just made this process even easier. Pixel 10 and iPhone owners can now take advantage of built-in tools to quickly send files back and forth.

This new file-sharing method uses Quick Share and AirDrop. Both tools are already included on these devices, so no new apps need to be installed. To send files from Android, the iPhone user needs to open their AirDrop settings and select Everyone for 10 minutes, and the Pixel user needs to select Quick Share when sending a file to see the Apple device as a recipient. This new feature works with any Pixel 10 device and supports sharing files with an iPhone, iPad, or macOS device.

    The Bottom Line

Android’s Quick Share feature is now compatible with AirDrop. Starting with Pixel 10 devices, users can send and receive files across platforms immediately.
