Sony’s original PS5 Digital Edition may not be the new, slimmer kid on the block, but it’s still a fantastic way to jump into new-gen gaming – as long as you don’t need a disc drive. But if you’re already in on digital games, PS Plus and sales on the PS Store, skipping the disc tray is a very easy trade to make.
Otherwise, you’re getting the same core experience as the standard PS5 with lightning-fast loading times thanks to that custom SSD, gorgeous 4K visuals and the full PlayStation ecosystem of exclusives like Spider-Man, God of War and Horizon.

There are even additional extras like PSVR 2 and PlayStation Portal that expand what you can do with the console – things not available on most competing consoles.
