The fact that it also has a height-adjustable screen is a rare perk that not many all-in-ones offer. Under the hood, you’ll find a decent silicon loadout, with a solid Core Ultra 5 processor and 16GB of RAM, along with a 512GB SSD and plenty of ports. The included keyboard and mouse are no-frills but comfortable, but you might want to swap them out later.

One area where desktops dominate is in high-powered workstations that handle processor-intensive tasks, such as 3D rendering, video editing, and advanced simulations. Apple’s Mac Mini is, by far, the best small-form-factor desktop on the market, earning an Editors’ Choice award from us in our review. The pint-sized PC is barely the size of a CD case and runs on the seriously optimized M4 processor for ultra-smooth performance on creative and productivity apps. The storage loadout is a bit low, but plenty of well-placed ports means hooking up an external drive is a breeze. This is the most affordable base model, with just 16GB of RAM, but a $100 price drop on Amazon makes it an absolute steal.
