Gaming monitors can be expensive, but not always. Walmart has an excellent deal on the 27-inch LG UltraGear Full HD Overclock Gaming Monitor as part of its early Black Friday sale. Right now, the display is on sale for $89 — well over 50% off its original price. You can’t get much better than that, in my opinion.

Full HD resolution comes out to 1,920 x 1,080 pixels. This is not a 4K screen. That may disappoint some of you, but it is still a great monitor. 1080p is solid even in 2025. You will be able to enjoy your favorite games in high resolution and, thanks to its over 99% sRGB coverage, accurate color outputs. It runs at a refresh rate of 120Hz for velvety-smooth gameplay; however, you can activate 144Hz Overclock for even better performance.

Black Stabilizer is an interesting feature. According to the Walmart listing, it enhances screen visibility inside dark scenes so you’re not just staring at pure darkness. I’m also a big fan of the size, as 27 inches is perfect for small tables. It won’t take up a lot of room while still providing a wide viewing experience.

Other notable features of the LG UltraGear Gaming Monitor include Dynamic Action Sync for reduced lag, support for HDR10 to ensure “enhanced contrast,” and Screen Split mode for window management.

    How I rated this deal

As per ZDNET’s rating system, I give this deal a perfect 5 out of 5. That score was probably obvious to you, since $80 off this monitor is, like, a 53% discount, give or take a few decimal points. I would recommend this monitor to anyone looking for a new screen, not just gamers. Because of its high refresh rate and features, it’ll perform well across a wide range of tasks. It’s great for gaming, casual browsing, and movie watching. Get it while this over 50% discount lasts.
