Ask most people about tablets, and they’ll probably first mention the iPad. While it’s a great choice for those with an iPhone, Android users are best looking for a tablet running the same platform.
Luckily, there are tons of great choices out there.

Over the past couple of years I’ve been testing a number of Tabwee tablets. This is a company that caught my attention for making decent, yet reasonably-priced tablets. One of their latest offerings is the T60 Pro, and I have to say that I’ve been very impressed by it, especially given the price.

At the core of the T60 Pro is a 13.4-inch, 1920 × 1200 FHD display with a very nice refresh rate of 120Hz. Compared to a 10-inch tablet, this display offers a very noticeable 34% extra screen reals estate. I do like tablets with large displays and fast refresh rates as they’re comfortable for extended viewing periods.
The display has also been TÜV Rheinland certified to emit only low-levels of blue light, offer high color fidelity, and a flicker-free image, again promoting eye health.

The brightness is listed as 350 nits, which is more than bright enough for indoor viewing, but if you’re using the tablet in bright sunshine, it does present a challenge. I’d prefer if it had the 500 nits of the iPad (or the 1,000 nits of the iPad Pro, but it’s a compromise that I can live with because I don’t use the tablet in very bright conditions all that often.
The Tabwee T60 Pro offers adequate performance, but I recommend bumping the virtual RAM up.

Powering the show is a Unisoc T7280 octa-core processor, along with 8GB of RAM (expandable to 24GB with virtual RAM) and 256GB of storage. If you want more storage, you can boost it with a microSD card up to 2TB.
None of this is anything to write home about in terms of benchmarking, but more than enough to keep this tablet and the Android 15 operating system humming along smoothly with all the workloads I threw its way, namely watching videos, web browsing, basic content creation like chopping up videos, and simple photo editing such as cropping and rotating images.

It’s also enough horsepower to run Gemini AI 2.0 tasks such as voice-controlled reminders, condensing information into study plans and summaries, and brainstorming ideas.
The battery has a generous capacity of 10,000mAh, which is good for about six hours of use before needing a recharge, and when it’s needed, it charges at 18W, so the tablet can be resurrected from completely flat to fully charged in about three hours.
Yes, it’s an “AI” camera.

The T60 Pro is also pretty capable in the camera department. The main rear camera is a 16-megapixel Samsung, perfect for social media, as well as photographing documents and such. On the front is a capable 8-megapixel selfie camera that does an equally good job with photos and as it does with video calls.
The tablet also comes with a bunch of accessories, including a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse, and a stylus. They’re basic but capable, and while I’d have no problems using them occasionally, if I needed to use them for any length of time I’d probably replace them with something a bit better. But as something bundled with the tablet, they’re more than OK.

The tablet is an impressive 7.9 mm/0.31 inches thin, and weights only 720 g/1.59 pounds, not light by any stretch of the imagination, but for a tablet with a screen that feels like the deck of an aircraft carrier or an IMAX screen, it’s more than reasonable.
ZDNET’s buying advice
The Tabween T60 Pro is one of those tablets that falls firmly into the “good value” category. With it’s 13.4-inch display and budget processor, it’s not going to win any benchmark awards, and even with a list price of $360, it’s definitely worth considering by anyone wanting a large tablet. But right now, over at Amazon the price has been slashed by 39%, bringing this down to $220, making this an good deal indeed.
This is definitely a tablet that delivers on what it promises to be: decent, usable middle of the road tablet with a giant screen that is just as happy in school or workplace as it is at home. It is big, but if that’s what you want, this is the tablet for you.
