There’s no denying that Black Friday and Cyber Monday are among the best days of the year to score some serious savings on swanky TVs. Sometimes, however, sales peak early — and that may have just happened with one of LG’s newest OLEDs.
Sometime in the last 48 hours, the LG B5 OLED tumbled to its lowest price on record. Right now, you can get the 65-inch LG B5 for just $996 at Amazon. That’s about $1,000 off its original price and roughly $200 off its previous sale price.
I’ve spent a ton of time with all of LG’s 2025 OLED TVs, and I’m here to tell you that the budget-friendly B5 is bursting with value for a wide range of shoppers. Let me tell you a bit more about it.
Like all OLEDs, each of the LG B5’s millions of pixels are self-illuminating. This is an advantage that has a tremendous impact on picture quality, as the B5 delivers perfect black levels and pixel-level dimming.
While it’s true that the higher-end LG C5 OLED will net you better brightness than the B5, you’re still getting an OLED-driven picture with LG’s entry-level set.
It’s one of the reasons why its relatively affordable, entry-level status shouldn’t deter you from considering the B5. It might not offer the sort of highlight brightness you’d find on similarly priced LCD/LED TVs, but the self-emissive nature of OLED will have these highlights looking brighter.
The B5 offers many of the same bells and whistles as higher-end OLEDs.
As far as features go, the B5 offers many of the same bells and whistles as higher-end OLEDs like the C5. That’s good news for everyone, but it’s especially good news for dedicated gamers.
The B5 supports 4K gaming at 120Hz, Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM), Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), AMD FreeSync and G-Sync compatibility. All four of its HDMI inputs offer HDMI 2.1 compatibility.

If you woke up this morning thinking you might wait until Black Friday to upgrade to a new TV, I wouldn’t blame you if you changed your plans.
