Video doorbell cameras are one of the best ways to improve home security without having to overspend. They’re also relatively easy to install compared to buying an entire home security system. Right now, we’re seeing our favorite Ring video doorbell back down to its Prime Day price.

The Ring Battery Doorbell Pro typically retails for around $200, but Amazon is now offering it for just $130. This is the lowest price we’ve seen this model sell for, and you don’t need to enter any codes or clip any coupons to get it. Be sure to grab it fast, since the offer ends soon.

The Ring Battery Doorbell Pro provides head-to-toe HD video and 3D motion detection with both a bird’s eye zone and bird’s eye view feature. Low-light sight uses enhanced imaging sensors so the picture is clear whether it’s day or night, and package alerts let you know when a package has been delivered (though an additional subscription is required) to a specified zone. It also works with Alexa.

Hey, did you know? CNET Deals texts are free, easy and save you money.

In his Ring Battery Doorbell Pro review, CNET’s home-security expert Tyler Lacoma found it to be “a master at keeping an eye on the front of your house, with excellent visual and audio clarity. The incredible number of features provides a mountain of customization to work with and some of the best cloud video-sharing options I’ve seen.”

For those on an even stricter budget, this Ring battery doorbell is down to $50 — half its usual price. The Ring Battery Doorbell Plus is down to just $80, which saves you $70, thanks to Amazon’s discounts across previously-released Ring gear. Keep in mind that the latest Ring security tech isn’t on sale, but the previous-generation home security cameras offer excellent features. Amazon is also accepting trade-ins that can save you up to 20% off select Ring camera deals, which can save you even more.

    Why this deal matters

While Lacoma noted that it will take newcomers some time to learn the app and there are some issues with package detection, he found the positives far outweighed the few drawbacks. This was without the current $70 discount. At $130, it’s down as low as we’ve ever seen before, making this an excellent time to secure your doorbell cam.
